REACH Regulation

As a manufacturer of preparations, we have been dealing with the REACH issue for a long time and confirm that our products are REACH-compliant (current status). We purchase both substances and preparations from our suppliers in Germany and abroad. These in turn are manufactured at home and abroad, partly from substances and partly from preparations. The registration of the raw materials is carried out in accordance with the existing or still to be developed requirements of the REACH Regulation. We have informed our suppliers about use/exposure scenarios. To the best of our current knowledge, we can assure you that the topic of REACH is treated as a priority in our company; that we will supply you with preparations made from substances that are properly registered and approved for the intended use in accordance with the legal regulations; that we will do everything we can to maintain the functionality and environmental compatibility of our products as far as possible despite a reduced selection of raw materials (we will continue to strive to continuously improve these properties as before); we will adapt safety data sheets. "Preparations" became "mixtures", "flammable" became "combustible" and the focus of labeling shifted from health protection to explosion protection. Over the years, we have changed safety data sheets and can labels in line with legal requirements. Due to the linking of GHS and REACH, and changes to the legal requirements, further changes are always made promptly.

VOC

A list of the VOC content in our products is available here in pdf format. (Please bear in mind that "VOC", i.e. solvent content, is not defined in the same way in every EU regulation and is sometimes defined drastically differently in national regulations. The following values largely correspond to the calculation scheme of Directive 2004/42/EC).

Our sustainability in the context of company history:

• 1960: first paint factory in Northern Europe to work with closed bead mills (and no longer with open roller mills)
• Aromatic-free and heavy metal-free products since the 80s
• 1992: First company in Hamburg to be EU Eco-Audit (now EMAS) certified
• 1992: First company in northern Germany with its own electric car
• Use of CO2-neutral electricity in production since 1995
• Since 1997, the entire production has been running WITHOUT the generation of wet chemical waste
• Cooling without drinking water since 2000 (instead in a CFC-free cooling water cycle)
• 2017: First manufacturer in Germany to supply spray paint cans with double active ingredient and compressed gas from renewable bio-residues
• Since 2019: Heating with CO2-neutral energy
• Since 2020: Free charging stations for electric cars
• Since 2022: Officially certified as a CO2 neutral company. Due to previous measures, the CO2 share was so low that 2/3 of the CO2 amount still to be offset (through reforestation projects in Nicaragua) is caused by employees traveling to work (30% still come by bus, train, bicycle or e-car)
• We have reduced our annual water consumption by 95% over the last 25 years
• We have reduced annual energy consumption per 100 tons of paint produced by 45% over the last 25 years

The majority of people

in Central Europe spend most of their time indoors. It is therefore important that floor coverings, furniture and paints pollute indoor air as little as possible in the long term (in terms of quality and quantity). We give you the assurance that Brantho-Korrux emits very few hazardous or risky substances. Brantho-Korrux "nitrofest" and "3in1" are well below the limit values in France, Belgium and Germany.

Strict standards

We had the measurements carried out by an independent testing institute. 300 g/m2 of paint was applied for the measurements, which is significantly more than is usual in practice. Nevertheless, all limit values are clearly undercut.
